This one is all but done now, all I need is a couple of cans of topcoat to finish it off so I thought this would be a good time to talk about the build.

Quality wise, it definitely felt like building a gigantic High-Grade. However, some interesting build methods eliminated alot of the repetition common in Gunpla building. If you look at the pic above you’ll see two sets of runners clipped together – a number of the internals used this method so you’re essentially constructing alot of the innards before removing anything from the runners!

Huge polycaps! Everything feels very sturdy at 1/48 scale.

Completed legs, I love the chunky design which has shades of the Gundam MKII. Plenty of vents and panel lines to colour in too!

Arm, the swept front on the forearm is a little bit Turn-A – I wonder if AGE-1 draws inspiration from every leading Gundam prior to it?

And finally the head. When the first promotional shots for Gundam AGE appeared, I was pretty worried as the design looked gangly and lame, but in the end it’s turned out looking great!
