When Blade Runner meets Tokyo

Posted in Japan on 15 November, 2011 (08:31)

Blade Runner is my favourite film of all time, its incredible vision of the future coupled with the powerful Vangelis soundtrack captivates me every time. Walking around Tokyo’s neon wonderland I’m sure many of us have drawn parallels with Los Angeles of 2019, and Samuel Cockedey has really taken this to the next level.

This incredible timelapse was shot using a Canon 5D MK2 over the course of a year in and around Shinjuku, and combined with Blade Runners haunting score it’s a real work of art. Do yourself a favour and don’t watch this embed, head over to vimeo and watch in glorious HD
