Desktop backgrounds

At work we all tend to make our own desktop backgrounds quite often, sometimes desigining something from scratch but usually by editing photos we’ve taken in that past to turn them into something interesting to look at. Here are couple of mine..

Lion Statue

The main pic is a from a shot of a lion statue which was outside a house in Southern Higashiyama, Kyoto. I’ve cut it out from the background and added a red and white textured starburst behind it for extra effect!

Todai-Ji

Here we have a shot of Todai-Ji in Nara. I’ve cut out the sky replacing it with a starburst again, and used filters to give the temple itself almost a stencil effect, topped this off with a soft pattern overlay.
