Well why not eh? If at first you don’t succeed, try try again right?
I’m very glad I did, as this post pops up onto the internet i’ll be at the Embassy of Japan in London, going into my interview for an ALT position! It’s very exciting but also very scary at the same time, and by the time most people read this I’ll either be enjoying a celebratory drink or drowning my sorrows somewhere in the big city.
This was by no means a solo effort, looking back at my application last year I didn’t warrant an interview(despite my thoughts otherwise at the time) and 12 months on I think I’m in a much better position to do this. Thanks to everyone who offered support and kind words, especially Gaz, all your advice was worth its weight in gold, and gold prices are at an all time high you know! 🙂
No matter how it turns out, getting an interview is something I’ll always be proud as hell about.
