Originally built in 1583 by Toyotomi Hideyoshi, the current Osaka Castle tower is actually a modern-day concrete reconstruction. But don’t let that put you off, the tower and grounds are one of the nicest places to visit in Osaka, especially this season when the cherry blossoms are in bloom! I’m lucky to live just around the corner, so this is basically my back garden 🙂
