Turn A turn, turn A turn, tuuuuuuuuuuuurn A!
Designed by American futurist Syd Mead, the sleek Turn A is one of the most divisive mobile suits in the history of Gundam, mostly thanks to the bizarre moustache it sports instead of the iconic v-fin. It’s also arguably the most powerful unit, thanks to it’s Moonlight Butterfly System which can envelop huge distances and destroy any technology it comes into contact with.
Released back in 2007, this kit had the honour of being the 100th Master Grade! It’s composed of just ten runners including weapons and accessories, but it looks like it includes some interesting design choices, especially the head which uses clear parts instead of foil stickers for the eyes – too bad they didn’t continue using this method.
It seems quite fitting, considering it’s the most unique feature that the moustache gets it’s own little runner!
This one isn’t actually for me to keep, all being well I’ll be parting ways with it this Saturday when I hand it off to Toshi down at Bar #78!
