First Impressions: HG 1/144 MVF-M11C Murasame
To tide me over until MG Red Frame completes it’s journey from the land of the rising sun, i’ve decided to work on this awesome and underappreciated kit – the Murasame. Time to tear open the box and have a nosey inside!

Transform!

An awesome feature of this kit is it can transform into a waverider-style form similar to Zeta or Kyrios

Four runners

The kits made up of four ABS runners and a polycap runner, double the number the HG RX-78 had so fingers crossed there’ll be plenty of detail and posability.

Ugh, just ugh.

On the subject of detail, there are quite a few foil stickers included to add colour to the wing trims and body. All of these except perhaps the eyes will be binned in favour of painting, foil stickers are the devil! Some clear stickers with a few decals are included too, again i’ll probably leave those in favour of some water slide decals I picked up at Yodobashi camera.

Base - drybrushed

Also included is a stand identical to the one that comes with the GP02. I’ve already given this a quick drybrush to give it a metallic and battered look.

Will probably start masking off and painting in the next couple of days, looks like most pieces need some degree of painting so this should keep me out of trouble for a while 🙂
